Are Tiffany Engagement Rings the only option...I think not!!

As a Jeweller and a Designer, I’ve always been of the opinion that all women are different and unique (of course!) and should choose their Engagement rings accordingly. I fully appreciate those women who have known exactly what shaped stone, design and size they’ve wanted since they were 10 years old, and believe me there’s nothing better than being able to give that to them. However for those who haven’t been looking in Jewellery stores since day one of their relationship, I can tell you now that there are a lot more options then the Round Brilliant Cut Diamond Tiffany Design.

Diamonds are the most traditional stones to use, but if you’re not a diamond gal then your world is just about to get a bit more colourful. Precious coloured gemstones are a great alternative with plenty of options, and not to mention kinder on your wallet. If you still want to stick with the traditional theme then Blue Sapphires are fitting - think the new Princess Catherine. Otherwise there are amazing Rubies, Tourmalines, Spinels, Aquamarines etc just waiting for a new home.

In terms of design, there are plenty of options. You could go the traditional solitaire, the three stone, the antique look, or even something different like a funky contemporary design with more metal and less stone or an amazing eternity band with 20 Rubies all the way around. The sky is the limit! Just remember putting your mark on it takes it from being mass produced to a one-of-a-kind piece, special just for you!!
